Baptism in a week!
When a bachelor community, and later – separate owners made an ice-hole on the river, they sawed out a large cross from ice, put it over the ice-hole and poured with a beet full sour until it became red.
They also built a throne of ice near a cross.
All this was decorated with an archway made of fir or pine branches – “royal gates”.
